Already have a Class B CDL? Build the skills for Class A driving.

Enrollment in a class is not guaranteed until the enrollment agreement is signed and payment is made. Class spots are first come, first served.

Separate fees: The following fees are not included in tuition unless added at the time of enrollment.

  • DOT Physical: $100
  • DOT Drug Screen: $55
  • Clearinghouse Inquiry: $51.25
  • Knowledge Test: $35 per attempt
  • Permit Issuance Fee: $40
  • Motor Vehicle Record: $15
  • CDL Test Fee: $175 per attempt

Upcoming Class B to A start dates: October 27, 2026 (2 spots on waiting list), December 1, 2026 (6 spots available), and January 5, 2027 (6 spots available).

Training includes

  • Automatic transmission training, or manual training for an additional $250
  • Pre-trip training and evaluations
  • Skills maneuver training and evaluations
  • Coupling and uncoupling
  • Chaining class
  • Public road training
  • Weekly proficiency evaluations

Requirements

  • Valid Washington Class B CDL
  • DOT medical card or physical
  • Commercial Learner’s Permit
  • State motor vehicle record
  • Age 18+
  • High school diploma, GED, or ability-to-benefit test

We only accept 4–6 students per Class B to A Upgrade class. Maximum 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio.
