Hands-on CDL training near Portland

Choosing a CDL school near Portland means choosing where you will build the habits that matter in a commercial vehicle. M&M Trucking School trains students at our Ridgefield location with real trucks, instructor guidance, and dedicated practice space for the skills that appear on the road and on the license test.

Our programs cover the fundamentals of commercial driving, including pre-trip inspections, backing and maneuvering, road driving, and test preparation. Students pursuing Class A training also receive instruction in coupling, uncoupling, and chaining, along with a choice of manual or automatic transmission training.

Class A CDL training

Our four-week Class A program prepares students for combination vehicles and focused Washington or Oregon Class A test preparation. It is designed for new drivers who want a stronger foundation before they begin commercial driving work.

Class B CDL training

Our two-week Class B program helps students build skills for box trucks, dump trucks, fire trucks, utility work, and other local commercial vehicles. It combines safety checks, vehicle control, and highway and city driving.

A dedicated place to learn

Commercial driving is a skill built through repetition. Our 120,000-square-foot practice yard includes three full-size backing lanes, giving students room to work on the setup, control, and awareness needed for backing maneuvers. The goal is to help you arrive at test day with a stronger understanding of the vehicle and the process.

Small-group instruction makes it easier to ask questions and receive feedback as you progress. If you already have a Class B CDL, the Class B to A upgrade program adds the combination-vehicle knowledge and behind-the-wheel practice needed for a Class A license.
